:: Gen Art gets Cultured and spot light on Phil Holt ::

with 2 comments

This past Friday night, April 4th, Gen Art sponsored a gallery hop on the Lower Haight including showcases at Fifty24SF, D-Structure, and Lower Haters. I was in a hurry when I got down there Friday night and only got to stop by Lower Haters store.. but getting to see Phil Holt was great.

Phil has been a veteran tattooist for ten years strong now. He owns and operates the Redletter1 gallery in Tampa, Florida, but just recently moved to SF. Not long after arriving, he was already tattooing it up with Grime at Skull and Sword in the Mission. Tonight was Phil’s first solo show in SF.

  1. thanks for coming out to the genart show at lower haters. im a bit confused but that happens often….not to worry too much. i could not attend the exhibit. i own a gallery in tampa, redletter1 and i needed to be there on april 5th for the macs opening. it would appear there is some confusion.

  2. Hi Phil. Thanks for stopping by. I think the wording is confusing. I just meant getting to see your work, not you physically since you weren’t even there. ;)

    Tight stuff though for sure.
